quick & easy diy projects are my favorite.
i attempted to make myself a few coasters using paint made for porcelain.
easy peasy & fun.
supplies:
+ tile from your local home improvement store
+ pebeo porcelain 150 paint markers
and/or
+ pebeo porcelain 150 paint
+ oven or toaster oven
+ felt or cork for back of coaster
the process for this is pretty simple. i attempted to first sketch out some ideas on paper. a pencil should be able to mark on the tile a bit, at least for you to see it & rub off easily as well. once you have your idea laid out, just paint or draw it on. having both the paint and the markers isn’t really necessary – it all depends on the look you want. once it is all painted just follow the direction on the paint container & bake away. the last thing i did was glue a piece of felt to the back of the tile, you could also use cork. & there you have it. simple & a great gift idea that would be easy to personalize.
paint montage!
you can paint mugs, plates, tiles of all sizes…anything ceramic. there is even paint made just for glass.
& a few i made with just the markers…
a sloth…

& a bear, which my dad informed me looks like a sun bear. hah.
& another awesome paint on ceramic type link: under the sycamore’s painting on ceramic diy now for some lemonade…

Oh my gosh THE SLOTH!! They are my favourite.
I love the pink flower…
Adorable! I painted coasters once at Color Me Mine & it was so much fun! I should make more for my mom, though… She's so anal about everyone using coasters for their drinks!
Awesome!!
Love them – your painting is gorgeous!
