light duality

i dug these out of my archives and decided to re-edit them. these were done with sparklers (morning glory) & the help of my sister. it was a really hot summer night too; we got pretty sweaty running around and such. there is a tutorial on how to do light painting with moth trails that i really want to try. & this glow doodle site is pretty neat, you can do light painting with your web cam.

& if you’d allow me to dork out for a moment, all this light painting makes me think of the wave-particle duality in physics. if you’d like some light reading, you can check out a nice concise article on the dual nature of light via nobel archives.

whether you are a physics dork or not, you have to agree that light sure is awesome. even blurry mistakes are pretty.
